Mike Bettiga
Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer
Dedication to Shopko since earning his pharmaceutical degree in 1977
I am the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for Shopko Stores Operating Company, LLC. My history with Shopko goes back 34 years. I started with them after my graduation from the Ferris State University School of Pharmacy in 1977.
In addition to my dedicated service to Shopko, I've served as a member of the State of Wisconsin Pharmacy Examining Board for nine years, and I'm a member of the National Association of Chain Drug Stores Public Policy Council. In 2007, I was honored to receive the Pharmacy Society of Wisconsin Government Affairs Award, and in 2008 I was presented with the Ferris State University Distinguished Alumnus Award. The recognition is great, but I'm more humbled by the collaboration with my colleagues and helping the people and businesses we serve.
I've always wanted to keep my experience and expertise right here in Wisconsin. Shopko has allowed me to bring personal attention and customer care to my neighbors. I must have passed this Wisconsin connection on to the rest of my family because both of my kids attend Wisconsin colleges and my wife and I continue to live in Green Bay.

Innovative entrepreneur brings new perspectives to Shopko Pharmacy strategies
As the Vice President of Pharmacy Strategies with Shopko RxCare, I'm pairing my business administration background with my healthcare industry experience. This combination has led me to a career focused on managed-pharmacy benefits and pharmacy strategies since 1987.
From my years of service at the nation's largest pharmacy benefit management company to my leadership role as the Senior Vice President for an industry-leading pharmacy services company, my healthcare career has been very rewarding. All of my high-level experience has given me the vision to build a team that focuses on business strategy as well as resident care. It always comes back to care.
Prior to Shopko RxCare, I was the Founder and President of a pharmacy benefit consulting firm. During that time, I'm honored to say that I was a recipient of the Milwaukee Business Journal's 40 under 40 award in 2004 for my work in the pharmacy industry.
I'm proud to bring my leadership skills and background to Shopko, where I can help implement customized pharmacy solutions that will be beneficial to all Shopko RxCare customers and their residents. I understand how important personal attention and innovation are when it comes to healthcare—whether it's business to business or people to people.
Summer Hagens
Marketing Specialist
Inspired by family, teamwork and the satisfaction of helping others.
I am the Marketing Specialist for Shopko RxCare. After earning my BBA in Marketing from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, I returned to my northeastern Wisconsin roots as the Marketing Programs and Exhibits Manager for Pierce Manufacturing—a worldwide leader in the fire and emergency vehicle market.
Working at Pierce, I created and executed marketing plans, utilized various advertising mediums, and managed all special events pertaining to corporate sponsorship. My role required negotiation skills and attention to detail, but most importantly, the ability to develop and maintain strong business partnerships. I'm looking forward to applying my skill set and relationship-building expertise to Shopko RxCare and our customers.
I've gained valuable experience throughout my marketing career, and my experiences with my family are what continue to inspire me on a daily basis. Today, my four kids (two girls and two boys) and I are living in Neenah, Wisconsin, and I'm proud to be involved in a key marketing role for Shopko, a store and company that I grew up with in Wisconsin!
I have the amazing job of communicating how Shopko RxCare can help your facility and improve resident care. When we say "with care" to our customers, it's much more than a marketing message. We never lose sight of the fact that on the other end of that prescription is a real person who needs our care and support.
Trent Thiede
Director of Operations
Over 10 years of experience working with Shopko; excited to manage the Shopko RxCare team
I'm Trent Thiede, Director of Operations for Shopko RxCare. I have a long history of working with Shopko. Back when I was in high school, I was a dispensing technician in the pharmacy of the Green Bay, Wisconsin, store. That experience inspired me to pursue a career as a pharmacist.
I stayed in the Shopko family as an intern while earning my Doctor of Pharmacy at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. After graduation, I accepted the position of Pharmacy Manager at the Shopko store in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. While earning my MBA from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, I took a position as a Regional Pharmacy Supervisor with Shopko. In that role, I managed 36 Shopko Pharmacies throughout the Midwest.
I've been very happy working with Shopko during my entire professional career. "Growing up" with Shopko has been an extraordinary journey. I've gained valuable knowledge and experience along the way. I am anxious to apply what I've learned about this industry to assure a high level of trust between Shopko RxCare and our long-term care pharmacy partners. I can't wait to help them discover everything our amazing team has to offer.
Matt Boyle
Sales and Business Development Director
Long-term care professional that genuinely cares
I am the Sales & Business Development Director for Shopko RxCare. I have dedicated the last 12 years of my professional career to the long-term care pharmacy business. It's a passion of mine to help those who care for others. It's a rewarding career when you truly believe in what you're selling. I appreciate that every day, and I hope my customers see it, too.
My extensive background in pharmacy service began with my role as the leading Account Executive for a Milwaukee-area pharmacy. I advanced from there to become the Executive Director of an Appleton pharmacy, orchestrating the launch of the pharmacy and managing business development. From the moment I joined Shopko RxCare, I've been using my experience to help our team build loyal customer relationships by living up to our promises.
I firmly believe in the pharmacy-client relationship. It is an ongoing partnership. To me, a good partnership leads to improving the quality of resident care at our clients' facilities. It's all about personal attention and customer care. That's what I strive for. That's what Shopko RxCare strives for.
Ann Siebers
Nurse Consultant/Client Services Manager
Recognized long-term care professional and RN brings consulting skills to Shopko RxCare
I am a Nurse Consultant and Client Services Manager with Shopko RxCare. I've been active in long-term care (LTC) before I even became a Registered Nurse in 1988. My nursing background and my expertise in clinical leadership, client advocacy and resident care all come together in my position with Shopko.
After I graduated from Fox Valley Technical College, I worked in the medical, surgical and ICU units at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Appleton before returning to the LTC industry as a Charge Nurse and Director of Nursing for five years at Rennes Health Center in Appleton.
I've also held nurse consultant roles since 1995 with several of the nation's largest pharmacy service providers. I've always seen my role as a facilitator for LTC facilities and pharmacies to communicate and work in collaboration—something I'm bringing to the Shopko RxCare team and our clients' nursing teams.
Though I still live in my hometown of Kimberly with my two kids, my clinical experience and commitment to resident care have been recognized in the LTC arena throughout Wisconsin. For me, Shopko RxCare will continue to be a great avenue to bring my passion for nursing and customer care to the staff at long-term care facilities throughout Wisconsin.
Jon Jest
Clinical Services Director
Bringing a unique balance of national and local experience to Shopko RxCare
I am a Clinical Services Director on the Shopko RxCare team. I've been providing clinical consulting and pharmaceutical dispensing services to skilled nursing, assisted living and hospice care facilities since 1984.
After graduating from the University of Wisconsin School of Pharmacy, my career has grown from roles as a coordinator and clinical consultant to my current director-level position. I have worked as a clinical pharmacist and consultant for several industry-leading companies.
Before coming to Shopko, I was the Wisconsin Clinical Coordinator for one of the nation's largest providers of long-term care pharmacy services. After working for the "big guys," I decided to move to a more local pharmacy as the Director of Consultant Pharmacist Services. While there, I developed and standardized the company's consulting practices, policies and procedures. My attention to detail and extensive background really helped make those projects successful.
With all my experience—from national companies to local pharmacies—I look forward to bringing the best of both worlds to Shopko RxCare customers. I'm excited to work together with our long-term care facilities, building a trusted partnership that fulfills all of our goals.

Clinical Services Director
Experienced consultant pharmacist focuses on strong healthcare relationships
I am a Clinical Services Director for Shopko RxCare. Since 1996, I've worked with skilled nursing and assisted living facilities in Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, bringing them pharmacy and clinical services with a personal approach.
Before coming on board with Shopko, I was the Clinical Consulting Director for a well-respected pharmacy in the region. I helped develop their consulting program and provided clinical support for clients of all sizes. I also served as a consultant pharmacist for a national leader in long-term care pharmacy services. This experience led me to eventually develop my own consulting practice.
In my 15 years in pharmacy services, I've focused on developing relationships with facility teams as well as the physicians and nurse practitioners in the communities I serve. I believe these relationships lead to more focused and personalized clinical solutions for our clients.
I live in Tomahawk, Wisconsin, with my wife and three kids and travel throughout the state to work with my Shopko RxCare colleagues and our customers. I'm excited to add my experience to the team and help even more people in the healthcare industry.
Bob Hunter
Consultant Pharmacist
Beginning a pharmacy career in the Navy and landing at Shopko RxCare
I'm the Consultant Pharmacist for Shopko RxCare. Overall, my responsibilities include monitoring all facets of resident medication regimens while providing clinical services to physicians, nurses and health teams. It's an important job and I take great pride in it.
I've served as a consultant pharmacist for many successful pharmacy companies and hospital pharmacy providers in my career. My experience brought me to Waupaca where I worked for 13 years as Director of Pharmaceutical Services, Materials and Management at the region's top medical center.
In addition to all my corporate and retail pharmacy experience, I was a Hospital Corpsman in the United States Navy. That part of my life really strengthened my skills and my character.
I'm proud to bring my expertise and three decades of experience to the Shopko RxCare team. I'm committed to providing Wisconsin residents with the quality pharmaceutical services they deserve.
Lorie Neumann
Vice President, Third Party Administration
The expertise and unique perspective of an industry veteran
I am the Vice President of Third Party Administration for Shopko's Retail Pharmacy and Optical divisions, as well as Shopko RxCare's long-term care pharmacy. This multi-pronged role really leverages my strengths as an Nursing Home Administrator and my extensive career in the healthcare industry.
After earning my degree from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, I began my career in health services as an Assistant Nursing Home Administrator with a leading long-term care facility in the region. As the industry evolved, so did my career. As I advanced beyond the assistant level, I became a Nursing Home Administrator and eventually a Mobile Nursing Home Administrator.
In 2000, I accepted a position as the Operations Director for one of the top long-term care pharmacies in the region. Through this role, I honed my leadership skills and brought that to my executive-level position with Shopko—where I work with teams in all areas of health services.
As a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator with more than 35 years in the healthcare field, I believe my experience in both skilled nursing homes and assisted living facilities allows me to bring a truly unique expertise to Shopko RxCare.
Kelly Izydorek
Nurse Consultant
Local nurse consultant brings a wide variety of nursing experience to Shopko RxCare team
I am a Nurse Consultant based in the Shopko RxCare Eau Claire Pharmacy and have enjoyed working as a consultant since 2003. Prior to consulting, I was a full-time registered nurse. My career expanded into education at Chippewa Valley Technical College where I taught several classes detailing both long-term care practices and lab skills.
Along with my background in nursing education, I have worked as a case manager for long-term care patients, as well as a Trauma/Emergency nurse at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire.
I became a nurse consultant for a group home in 2003 and had been performing in that capacity as well as an RN case manager for the disabled and elderly before joining the Shopko RxCare team.
As a long-time resident of the Eau Claire community, I'm excited to use my knowledge and experience to help Shopko RxCare provide our communities with the best possible care and our customers with optimal pharmacy services.
In my free time I enjoy biking and gardening as well as visiting my family in Thorp. I also love the companionship of my black lab that I adopted from the Humane Association and my four cats that were "gifts" from family and friends.
Steve Hoehn
Field Director
Decades of experience and a drive for excellence to benefit our customers
I am the Field Director for Shopko RxCare. In this role I am utilizing my 20+ years of long-term care pharmacy experience to lead our team in providing the high-quality, customer-focused pharmacy services that our client facilities deserve.
After graduating from the University of Wisconsin School of Pharmacy, I worked as a retail pharmacist. In 1989 I started my long-term care pharmacy career as a staff pharmacist for a Milwaukee-based pharmacy. Within two years I was promoted to Director of Pharmacy. Under my direction, service improved and business steadily grew. In fact, the pharmacy became the "model" pharmacy for the entire company. My desire for meeting customer needs led me to design the calendar punch card system that is the standard in Wisconsin today. I also implemented one of the first multidose packaging machines in the long-term care industry. In addition, I've helped open long-term care pharmacies in Wisconsin areas of need.
In 1995 I was awarded the GranCare President's Award for commitment to excellence to my clients. In 2006 I received the Distinguished Alumnus Award from Phi Delta Chi Professional Pharmacy Fraternity. The recognition is great, but helping facilities provide the best possible care for their residents is an even greater reward. It's what inspires me on a daily basis.
Ted Regalia
Pharmacist-In-Charge – Eau Claire
Ted brings his wide variety of community-focused experience to Shopko RxCare
As Pharmacist-In-Charge, I am eager to share my leadership and quality improvement strategies with the Shopko RxCare team. I graduated from the University of Wisconsin School of Pharmacy in 1986, but I feel as if I have never really stopped learning— and I wouldn't want it any other way. As a clinical instructor for my alma mater and volunteer emergency response pharmacist, I know how important it is to keep up on the latest improvements and innovations in my field.
From my early days working one-on-one with customers as a staff pharmacist, to my more recent role as the pharmacy program director at an Eau Claire-based insurance firm, my experiences across the health care spectrum have instilled in me a love for educating patients and optimizing pharmacy efficiency. I look forward to bringing these passions to Shopko RxCare.
I believe education is the key to a healthy life. It is one of the reasons I have enjoyed speaking to assisted living groups, guest lecturing at colleges and universities, and volunteering at the Chippewa Valley Free Clinic. I am glad to be a part of the Shopko RxCare team and look forward to providing our customers with the top-level care that we are known for.
Pat Mulligan
Consultant Pharmacist
Pharmacist with over 30 years of experience brings his expertise to Shopko RxCare clients
I've been living and working in the Eau Claire region since graduating from the University of Wisconsin- Madison in 1978. For 17 years I worked as a hospital pharmacist in an acute care setting before shifting to pharmacy consulting for long-term care facilities, where I have been ever since. I am excited to be part of the Shopko RxCare team. I look forward to using my relationship-building and customer care skills to help facilities improve the quality of care for their residents.
In my previous position as Manager of Consultant Services for a regional long-term care provider, I collaborated with more than 100 skilled nursing and assisted living facilities in central Wisconsin and Minnesota. During my time as a consultant pharmacist, I've worked with clients at every level of the long-term care process. The opportunity to collaborate with so many amazing caregivers has been extremely rewarding.
I am a leader in implementing standards—you could say I'm passionate about it. Quality outcome management is of utmost importance to me— from finding better medication review processes to establishing consultant standards and facility protocols. I can't wait to use my skill set in my new role at Shopko RxCare and help our clients make the quality of their residents' care even better.
